Reporting dates extended

The Senate extended reporting dates for the following inquiries:

  • Environment, Communications and the Arts References Committee
    • Impact of mining operations on the Murray-Darling Basin to report by 26 November 2009
    • Sustainable management by the Commonwealth of water resources to report by 3 February 2010

Terms of reference varied

The Senate varied the terms of reference of the inquiry of the Environment, Communications and the Arts References Committee into Australia Post's treatment of injured and ill workers.

Notice of motion given to refer matters to a committee

A notice of motion was given to refer matters relating to the Church of Scientology to the Community Affairs References Committee for report by 18 March 2010.
