Regulations disallowed

Senator Milne gave notice of her intention to withdraw a notice to disallow 4 instruments. The Leader of the Family First Party (Senator Fielding) indicated his objection and the notice was transferred into his name. The Senate debated his motion together with a motion moved by Senator Colbeck [first speaker] and the following instruments were disallowed:

  • Australian Meat and Live-stock Industry (Export Licensing) Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1)
  • Export Control (Fees) Amendment Orders 2009 (No. 1)
  • Export Inspection (Establishment Registration Charges) Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1)
  • Export Inspection (Quantity Charge) Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 1)

Notice of motion to disallow given

Senator Colbeck gave a notice of motion to disallow the Inclusion of ecological communities in the list of threatened ecological communities [Lowland Native Grasslands of Tasmania], made on 18 June 2009 under section 181 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 [homepage].
