Community Affairs Legislation Committee

The committee met from 9.00am until 9.00pm.

The committee called the department and agencies of the Families, Housing and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs portfolio, including the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency.

The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 2 June 2009 in Senate Committee Room 2S1, again calling the Families, Housing and Community Services and Indigenous Affairs portfolio, commencing with the department.

Economics Legislation Committee

Portfolios allocated: Innovation; Industry, Science and Research; Resources, Energy and Tourism; Treasury

The committee called the department and agencies of the Innovation, Industry, Science and Research portfolio, including the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, the Australian Research Council, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, IP Australia and the Office of the Chief Scientist.

The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 2 June 2009 in House of Representatives Committee Room 2R1, calling:

  • the department and agencies of the Resources, Energy and Tourism portfolio, commencing with the department; and
  • the department and agencies of the Treasury portfolio, commencing with the department and the Australian Taxation Office.

Education, Employment and Workplace Relations Legislation Committee

The committee called the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Legislation Committee
