The legislation establishing these special appropriations is administered by the Department of Finance and Administration and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations

Note 22C: Special Accounts

Note 22c

This account holds only monies advanced to the department by COMCARE to make compensation payments in accordance with the Safety and Rehabilitation Act 1998. When the department makes payments against sick leave entitlements pending determination of an employee’s claim, the department recovers the payment from the monies in the account.

The department also has a Services for other Governments and Non-Agency Bodies Special Account established under section 20 of the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997. The purpose of the Services for other Governments and Non-Agency Bodies Special Account is for expenditure in connection with services performed on behalf of other governments and bodies that are not Agencies under the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997. This account had nil transactions and nil balances in 2004 and 2005.
