RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommendation 1
2.40 The
committee recommends that subclause 80H(1) be amended to limit 'permitted
purpose' to a purpose that 'directly' relates to the Commonwealth's response to
any emergency or disaster.
Recommendation 2
2.41 The
committee recommends that a maximum period of 12 months should apply to a
declaration of emergency under clause 80J and clause 80K.
Recommendation 3
2.42 Subject
to the preceding recommendations, the committee recommends that the Senate pass
the Bill.
