Subject: Submission re Migration Legislation Amendment
The Secretary
Senate Legal and Constitutional References Committee

Submission
I understand that the Committee's  present investigation involves examining the implications of excision for border security.

I submit that the Proposed Bill will not deter asylum seekers trying to enter Australia for the purposes of claiming asylum because people fleeing from  a situation that is dangerous to themselves and/or their families will take risks because the alternatives are untenable.
I recommend that the proposed Bill be rejected because it will not provide border security as desired by the Government.
