Recommendations
Recommendation 1
3.41
The committee recommends that the Government investigate the issue of
heritage properties within the Australian Capital Territory that are located on
designated Commonwealth land to ensure their protection and heritage status is
not compromised with the repeal of the Register of the National Estate.
Recommendation 2
5.67
The committee recommends that the minister review the wording of
proposed new subsection 179(6) in light of the above issue.
Recommendation 3
6.14 The committee recommends
that the Government review the level of resources made available for the
Department's administration of the Act.
