Subject: The transition of Telstra to full private ownwership.

Dear Senate Committee Members,

The national telecommunications system is analogous to the nervous system of an 
organic entity.   If we sell out the nations nerve network, to private profiteers, this 
nation, as a discrete entity, will effectively be killed!

Those who advocate private ownership understand this.   They have never been 
supporters of nation-building because the people's nation-state can be the best 
protection of equal access, by all citizens, to essential services such as 
telecommunications.   The reason that effective public services are not favoured by 
privateers is because they cannot make a profit from them.

However, it must be pointed out that the privateers lust for profit is immoral because 
they have not earned, by any effort or contribution to the community, any of the wealth 
that they seek to gleen from their private ownership.

I cannot say this clearly or strongly enough:   TO SELL TELSTRA OUT OF PUBLIC 
OWNERSHIP AND INTO THE HANDS OF DIVERSE PROFIT-PIRATES, IS TO MURDER WHAT 
REMAINS OF AUSTRALIA AS A DEMOCRATIC NATION-STATE!
