I support the view that if it is the will of the people and hence Parliament that Australians have equivalent infrastructure that this should be funded from the wealth of the whole country. Many examples exist where infrastructure available to communities varies throughout Australia. Examples include: highways, hospitals, water supply, telecommunications, airports and many others. The community can request through its Parliament and work towards supplying the wealth to ensure that the same infrastructure standards apply throughout Australia. It can be argued that the supply of equivalent infrastructure to all Australians would be uneconomic. Parliament can call tenders for the supply of "Uneconomic Infrastructure" to be funded from the wealth of the country. I support the proposition that the Australian Community has equivalent access to telecommunications. I believe that this access should be funded by the combined Wealth of the Nation and not by acquiring the wealth on unjust terms from the private shareholders of Telstra. I believe that the: Australian Constitution section 51. (xxxi) The acquisition of property on just terms from any State or person for any purpose in respect of which the Parliament has power to make laws: protects share holders of Telstra from the unjust acquisition of their shareholder wealth for the forced supply of uneconomic infrastructure for the whole of the Australian community. I request that any Law or enforced policy of the Federal Government to supply equivalent telecommunications to Australian communities and individuals be funded from the whole of Australia's wealth and that shareholders of Telstra be protected from any unjust acquisition of their wealth for the supply of required telecommunications.
