Subject: Telstra sale

Firstly, I have had dealings with government of all stripes before and feel strongly that Telstra will be sold regardless. After all, the saying goes - Don't have an inquiry or accept submissions without already knowing the outcome, but here goes..........
The sale of Telstra is both financially and more importantly morally and socially wrong. I fail to see how selling a majoraty public owned company, that is making money for us the people, to private interests is beneficial to the people and society. The idea that a private company will give two hoots about the people that the government purports to look after is ludicrous. Profit is all important and well-being of all users is secondary. Surely there has been enough examples all around the world to make the selling of public assets a very bad idea. Put me down for a very strong opposition for the further sale of Telstra.
