Pursuant to Senate standing order 38(7), I present to you an interim report of the Standing Committee on Environment, Communications and the Arts in relation to the inquiry into the Effectiveness of the Broadcasting Codes of Practice.

The committee has completed the taking of evidence and the conduct of hearings with regard to this reference. It will complete its final report in the near future. The committee intends to present the final report on Thursday, 19 June 2008.
