The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services will inquire into the Corporations Legislation Amendment (Simpler Regulatory System) Bill 2007 and related bills. The bills include proposals to simplify and improve corporate and financial services laws, specifically in the areas of financial services, company reporting obligations, auditor independence, corporate governance, fundraising, takeovers and compliance.
The closing date for submissions is 6 June 2007. The committee
expects to hold a hearing in Canberra and table its report in June.
Your submission addressing any or all aspects of the Bill that may be of
interest would be welcomed by the Committee. Where possible,
submissions should be provided electronically as an attached document by
emailing to
corporations.joint@aph.gov.au. The author's full name, phone
number and postal address should be provided with the submission.
