National Broadband Network Companies Amendment (Tasmania) Bill 2014

On 27 March 2014, the Senate referred the National Broadband Network Companies Amendment (Tasmania) Bill 2014 to the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee for inquiry and report.

Submissions closing date is 23 April 2014. The reporting date is 26 June 2014.

On 26 June 2014, the Senate granted an extension of time to report to 16 July 2014.

About this inquiry

The Bill would amend the National Broadband Network Companies Act 2011 to require NBN Co to only make fixed line connections to the NBN in Tasmania using fibre to the premises.
