Inquiry into the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) Bill 2012 and the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2012


On 01 November 2012 the Selection Committee, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) Bill 2012 and the Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblower Protection) (Consequential Amendments) Bill 2012

The Committee requests interested individuals and organisations to make submissions by Friday 23 November 2012. Please refer to our brochure called preparing a submission for more information. If you require additional time to prepare a submission, please contact the Secretariat by phone 02 6277 2358 or email spla.reps@aph.gov.au

 

Please note as the Committee will be considering the above bills and is not inquiring into whistleblowing, no individual cases or instances should be provided to the Committee.

 

Inquiries from hearing and speech impaired people should be directed to Parliament House TTY number 02 6277 7799. Adobe also provides tools at http://www.adobe.com/accessibility/  for the blind and visually impaired to access PDF documents. If you require any special arrangements to enable you to participate in the Committee's inquiry, please contact the Committee Secretariat.

 

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer to receive submissions in Microsoft Word® or Portable Document Format (PDF). Submissions can be emailed to spla.reps@aph.gov.au. The email must include full postal address and contact details. Written submissions can also be sent to the postal address.

The Committee will be holding a public hearing in Canberra on Friday, 30 November 2012 from 9.00 am until 10.45am in Committee Room 1R3.

The Hon Bronwyn Bishop MP has been appointed as a supplementary member for this inquiry
