The above Budget increase accounts for $10 million of the $15 million increase to ATSIC's Budget and will give ATSIC a slightly sharper economic focus. The money will be added to the $20 million already allocated to the Commission's Community Economic and Initiatives Scheme (CEIS), which will be replaced with the Indigenous Business Incentive Program (IBIP). The new IBIP would be focused less on communities and more on assisting individuals, partnerships and joint ventures with business ventures which were likely to create new and sustainable jobs. It is intended that the IBIP will complement DEETYA's New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, and assist Community Development Employment Project participants to become part of new businesses.
