The Department provides the administrative support for the efficient operation of the House of Representatives, its committees and certain joint committees and a range of services and facilities for Members in Parliament House.

There is currently one advertised vacancy:


Information Systems and Publishing Office
Assistant IT Equipment Manager
Parliamentary Service Level 4
($53,055-$57,441)

The Department is looking for a person with demonstrated initiative and a strong client service background. They will be a team player and good at solving problems.

The successful applicant will assist with:

  • the distribution, installation and provision of IT equipment, systems and services;

  • the tracking of IT equipment;

  • daily operations of the office, including assistance with calls from the Help desk, calls from IOS and calls from Members/staffers and departmental staff;

  • technical requests and maintenance for the wide range of devices and systems supplied by the Information Systems and Publishing Office; and

  • purchasing advice of products used by the department.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge of and experience with IT equipment and systems or the ability to obtain this knowledge quickly.
