Joint Committee on the Broadcasting of Parliamentary Proceedings

Committee Members

Parliamentary Proceedings Broadcasting Act 1946 provides for the committee to have nine members, and for the membership to be (s.5):

the President of the Senate
the Speaker of the House of Representatives
two other members appointed by the Senate
five other members appointed by the House of Representatives.

The committee members are:

Senator the Hon John Hogg, President of the Senate (Vice Chair) (Australian Labor Party, Qld)

Mr Damian Hale MP (Australian Labor Party, Solomon NT)

The Hon David Hawker MP (Liberal Party or Australia, Wannon Vic)

Mr Chris Hayes MP (Australian Labor Party, Werriwa NSW)

The Hon Peter Lindsay MP (Liberal Party of Australia, Herbert Qld)

Senator Kerry O'Brien (Australian Labor Party, Tas)

Senator Stephen Parry (Liberal Party of Australia, Tas)

The Hon Roger Price MP (Australian Labor Party, Chifley NSW)
