Standing Committee on Employment and Workplace Relations

The standing committee is one of twelve general purpose investigatory committees established by the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Australia. The Committee was established at the commencement of the 42nd Parliament on 12 February 2008.

The Committee is currently inquiring into pay equity and associated issues related to increasing female participation in the workforce.

Equal Pay inquiry

Equal work for equal pay is a principle most workplaces appear to support, but the Employment and Workplace Relations Committee is discovering that the reality tells a different story.
