The Committee has been requested by Senator the Hon John Herron, Minister
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Affairs, to inquire into the
present and ongoing needs of country and metropolitan urban dwelling Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander peoples. If you or the organisation to which
you belong, has information that could help the Committee, please contact
us. The closing date for submissions is Friday 13 October 2000. Submissions
in electronic form can be e-mailed to: atsia.reps@aph.gov.au
An extension for the closing date for submissions has been granted to
Friday 24 November 2000.
