Joint Standing Committee on Migration

Committee Members - 42nd Parliament

The Committee's resolution of appointment provides that the Committee should consist of 10 members in the following combination:
  • 3 Members of the House of Representatives to be nominated by the Government Whip or Whips;
  • 3 Members of the House of Representatives to be nominated by the Opposition Whip or Whips or by any independent member;
  • 2 Senators to be nominated by the Leader of the Government in the Senate;
  • 1 Senator to be nominated by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate; and
  • 1 Senator to be nominated by any minority group or groups or independent Senators.

For the 42nd Parliament the Committee will be comprised of:

The Hon Danna Vale MP (Deputy Chair) (Liberal Party of Australia, Hughes, NSW)
Senator Catryna Bilyk (Australian Labor Party, Tas)
Senator Sue Boyce (Liberal Party of Australia, QLD)
Mrs Yvette D'Ath MP (Australian Labor Party, Petrie, Qld)
Mr Petro Georgiou MP (Liberal Party of Australia, Kooyong, Vic)
Senator Sarah Hanson-Young (Australian Greens, SA)
Senator Anne McEwen (Australian Labor Party, SA)
Hon Dr Sharman Stone MP (Liberal Party of Australia, Murray, Vic)
