This online guide will help you find your way around the House of Representatives Annual Report 2002–03.

The report on performance is based on the outcome and output structure published in the Portfolio Budget Statements, 2002–03. A performance report is provided for each individual output.

Features of the report

Financial Statements

The audited financial statements for the year ending 30 June 2003 are available in PDF format. See download and printing.

Compliance Index

The compliance index directs readers to information set out in the PM&C Requirements for Annual Reports.

Links to documents relevant to the Annual Report

The Links page contains links to previous annual reports and the Portfolio Budget Statements.

Download and printing

The report is available for download as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file that can be viewed offline. PDF is the best format for printing. The report is available as a single PDF document or as individual parts and this is the best format for printing the report. The PDF files contain bookmarks that allow you to move quickly and easily through the document without having to scroll down or open new documents.

You may wish to print a few pages from the HTML, rather than from the PDF files. Some browsers include the facility to 'fit to page' when printing. Otherwise, to ensure that the content of the screen fits onto a printed page, resize the browser window width.

Navigation

Various navigation tools are provided to allow easy access to the report. These include:

Navigation bar (on left of screen)
Use the links provided to go to report chapters.

"Breadcrumb" Links (at the top and bottom of each page)
"You are currently viewing..." links indicate where you are in the report and the path back to the beginning of the report. Click on the links in the path to move back through the report.
"<- previous : next ->" links allow you to move back or forward through the report, one screen at a time.
"<- back" links allow you to return to the screen you have just left.

These buttons will take you back to the top of the screen.

Accessibility

In order to make the online annual report accessible to the largest possible audience, this report has been developed in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The report conforms to W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, available at http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/WAI-WEBCONTENT-19990505/.

This site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and includes text versions of figures to improve accessibility for users of text- and speech-based browsers.

Thumbnails have been provided to larger images and text versions of large figures have been included to reduce download times for users with slow connections to the internet.
