The primary advertising activity undertaken by the department was for publicising the work of the House and its committees ($96,835). Other major expenditure related to the provision of information to the public on inquiries being undertaken by parliamentary committees. Expenditure for this purpose was $79,342. Recruitment advertising expenditure was $10,493. All advertising was placed with either Starcom Worldwide or hma Blaze.
