School Bookings

School Students' Visits

More than 100,000 students visit Parliament House each year as part of organised school visits. While in Parliament House students can participate in the Parliamentary Education Program for 1 hour, participate in a guided tour which includes a visit to both Chambers, and enjoy morning or afternoon snacks sponsored by their local Member.

The School Visits Program is managed by the Serjeant-at-Arms' Office and bookings can be made by telephoning 1800 646 337 (free call) or 02 6277 4570 or by faxing 02 6277 8416.There is no charge for this service. Bookings can be made between 8:30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

There are certain times during the year when it is difficult to contact the school booking number because of the number of calls. These times are from the second week in January to mid April. We ask that callers be patient. If they have left details on the answer phone we will get back to them as soon as possible. The peak period for school visits is from August to mid December. Visitors may not be able to secure their bookings at the times most convenient to them during this period.
