Environment, Communications and the Arts Committee

The committee met from 9.04am until 10.12pm.
The committee called the department and agencies of the Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy portfolio, including Australia Post, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the Special Broadcasting Service and the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
The committee will meet on Tuesday, 27 May 2008 in Senate Committee Room 2S3, again calling the Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy portfolio, commencing with the department.
Finance and Public Administration Committee
Portfolios allocated: Finance and Deregulation; Human Services; Parliament; Prime Minister and Cabinet (including Climate Change)

The committee called the Department of the Senate, the Department of Parliamentary Services, and the department and agencies of the Prime Minister and Cabinet portfolio, including the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General and the Australian Public Service Commission.
The committee will meet on Tuesday, 27 May 2008 in Senate Committee Room 2S1, again calling the Prime Minister and Cabinet portfolio, commencing with the department.
Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee

The committee called the department and agencies of the Attorney-General's portfolio, including the Australian Federal Police, the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, AUSTRAC, CrimTrac, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity, the Australian Crime Commission and the Australian Customs Service.
The committee will meet on Tuesday, 27 May 2008 in the Main Committee Room, again calling the Attorney-General's portfolio, commencing with the department.
Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Committee
Portfolios allocated: Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government

The committee called the department and agencies of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry portfolio, including the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, Biosecurity Australia , Australian Wool Innovation, the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service and the Export Wheat Commission.
The committee will meet on Tuesday, 27 May 2008 in House of Representatives Committee Room 2R1, again calling the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry portfolio, commencing with the department.
