Note 2: Events Occurring After Balance Date

From 1 July 2004, the responsibility for the administrative management and reporting
of security infrastructure assets has been transferred to the Department of Parliamentary Services. The assets, future revenues and expenses will be transferred under s32 of the FMA.

The net effect of the transfer is a reduction of $10.562 million in fixed assets, $3.095 million in receivables with a corresponding reduction in equity. The department’s revenues and expenses in relation to security will fall by approximately $11.020 million per annum.
