Accessibility and usability features
Standards
The online report has been designed to meet our interpretation of the standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Version 1.0 (WCAG 1.0) for accessibility and usability. These guidelines have been developed by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) to enable equal access to all users of the Internet.
All pages have been evaluated for accessibility and usability. The navigation system is simple and gives you several ways to find the information you need.
Note: Text descriptions are provided for charts so they can be read by screen readers. Some figures do not need a text description as they are presented as text tables.
Using the viewing options or turning them off
Several viewing options are available to change the text size and colours of the text and background. If you prefer to use your own font and colour preferences, you can turn off the stylesheets (or in Opera, select View > Styles > User Mode). This will also display the side navigation menu as a list.

Using the keyboard to navigate the report
In most browsers, you can use the page up, page down, home and end keys to move through the document quickly.
Quick keys (access keys)
Access keys work with most browsers. You can use them to access a link from anywhere on the page. In some browsers you then need to press enter to follow it. Access keys are not supported on Netscape version 4 or earlier, or on all versions of Opera.
For Mac computers, use Control key with the number (eg control 1 to skip to main content).
On a PC, use the Alt key with the number (eg alt 1 to skip to main content).

Tabbing to links
You can use the keyboard to tab through the navigation menus and other links. After tabbing to a button or link, if the link is not activated immediately, press enter. (In Opera, turn off the stylesheets using View > Styles > User mode, then use the 'a' key to move forwards and the 'q' key to move backwards).
More hints for navigating in Opera
Use S to move to the next heading in the page, W to move to the previous heading.
With the keyboard, there are 5 keys for quickly zooming a document. They are:
6, 7, 8, 9, and 0.
zoom using 10% increments: zoom in 0, zoom out 9
zoom using 100% increments: zoom in 8, zoom out 7
snap page back to 100% (normal) 6
Feedback
The online report has been designed to work well on any browser and tested on many browsers on Windows and Macintosh platforms. Although javascript and cookies are used to enhance usability and accessibility for those who have them enabled, it does not rely on them.
Please contact us if you have any difficulty using the online report. If possible, include the operating system and browser you are using (for example, Internet Explorer 5.5 on Windows 98) to help us isolate the problem. We welcome feedback on the usefulness of the accessibility features we have provided for users with vision or mobility impairments, and on ease of use of the navigation system for all users.
