Report
1. The committee met in private session on Thursday, 8 February 2007 at 11.47 am.
2. The committee resolved to recommend—That—
(a) the provisions of the Aged Care Amendment (Security and Protection) Bill 2007 be referred immediately to the Community Affairs Committee for inquiry and report by 14 March 2007 (see appendix 1 for a statement of reasons for referral) ; and
(b) the provisions of the T ax Laws Amendment (2006 Measures No. 7) Bill 2006 be referred immediately to the Economics Committee for inquiry for inquiry and report by 27 February 2007 (see appendix 2 for a statement of reasons for referral) .
The committee recommends accordingly.
3. The committee deferred consideration of the following bill to its next meeting:
- Family Law (Divorce Fees Validation) Bill 2007.
