Pursuant to Senate Standing Order 38(7), I present to you the interim report of the Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs on the provisions of the Copyright Amendment Bill 2006.

On 19 October 2006, the Senate referred the provisions of the Copyright Amendment Bill 2006 to the committee, for inquiry and report by 10 November 2006.

Due to the need to thoroughly consider the evidence it has received, the committee intends to table its final report on 13 November 2006.
