REPORT ON MATTERS NOT DISPOSED OF AT THE END OF THE 38TH
PARLIAMENT
The Committee met and considered references not disposed of at the end
of the 38th parliament and resolved to recommend
to the Senate that –
The following inquiries of the 38th Parliament be re-adopted:
An assessment of the factors that contribute to the disparity in employment
levels between different regions and also between regions and capital
cities, as well as the continuing high levels of regional unemployment,
with a reporting date of 31 March 1999.
The effectiveness of education and training programs for indigenous
Australians, with a reporting date of 30 September 1999.
