Additional comments by Coalition senators
Coalition senators believe that a more practical and
workable and corporately realistic approach to the issues surrounding the long
term risk and liability for the material sequestered is that it should be
initially with the sequestration applicant for a period of twenty years after
the issuing of the site closure certificate and thereafter devolve to the
Commonwealth or the Joint Authority.
