Inquiry into the budgetary and environmental implications of the Government's Energy White Paper

Information about the Inquiry

The inquiry into the budgetary and environmental implications of the Government's Energy White Paper was referred to the Committee on 24 June 2004. The inquiry was not concluded by the end of the 40th Parliament.

On 8 December 2004 the inquiry was readopted for report by 10 March 2005. The Committee was also granted the power to consider and use the records of the Environment, Communications, Information Technology and the Arts References Committee appointed in the previous Parliament.

On 9 February 2005 the reporting date was extended to 18 April 2005.
