As a librarian I am very aware of the waiting time to use a free internet computer at the public library. With the increasing use of the Net as a means of disseminating information to the community it is imperative that free internet machines are available so that all socio-economic groups has access to the information. In this area, only 50% of the population have a machine in their own home and many do not have the money to use a service where it is necessary to pay for the use time to access this information. If government puts more and more of  this information onto the Net and being the only means of accessing this information, it is imperative that funding be provided to make more machines available for free use.
