Senate Select Committee on Regional and Remote Indigenous Communities

Community visits

The committee intends to visit communities in Queensland in the first half of 2010.

The committee has previously visited:

  • Narrogin in Western Australia on 8 October 2009
  • Kimberley Region in Western Australia on 24-26 August 2009;
  • Milingimbi in the Northern Territory on 19-22 May 2009;
  • Alice Springs and Ntaria (Hermannsburg) 29-30 April 2009;
  • Mutitjulu in the Northern Territory and Amata in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in South Australia on 1-3 March 2009;
  • Broken Hill, Cobar and Dubbo in Western NSW on 17-18 November 2008; and
  • Fitzroy Crossing, Balgo and Derby in the Kimberley region of Western Australia on 19-22 August 2008.
