Senate Select Committee on Regional and Remote Indigenous Communities
Community visits
The committee intends to visit communities in Queensland in the first
half of 2010.
The committee has previously visited:
- Narrogin in Western Australia on 8 October 2009
- Kimberley Region in Western Australia on 24-26 August 2009;
- Milingimbi in the Northern Territory on 19-22 May 2009;
- Alice Springs and Ntaria (Hermannsburg) 29-30 April 2009;
- Mutitjulu in the Northern Territory and Amata in the Anangu
Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in South Australia on 1-3 March
2009;
- Broken Hill, Cobar and Dubbo in Western NSW on 17-18 November
2008; and
- Fitzroy Crossing, Balgo and Derby in the Kimberley region of
Western Australia on 19-22 August 2008.
