Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment Bill (No.1) 2014

On 29 October 2014 the Attorney-General, Senator The Hon George Brandis, asked the Committee to inquire into and report on provisions of the Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment Bill (No.1) 2014.

The Bill was introduced in the Senate on 29 October 2014, and follows amendments made to the Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment (Foreign Fighters) Bill 2014 which the Committee recently reported on.

Submissions closed on 10 November 2014.

Please note that the issue of data retention does not fall within the scope of this inquiry.

The Committee tabled its report on 20 November 2014.
