The Selection Committee has been established under standing order 222 (PDF 219KB, page 89), primarily to determine the program of business for committee and delegation business and private Members’ business for each sitting Monday, to recommend items of private Members’ business to be voted on, to select bills for referral to committees, and set speaking times for second reading debates.
