Review of Division 3 Part III of the ASIO Act 1979 - Questioning and Detention Powers

The Committee is required to review, by 22 January 2006, the operation, effectiveness and implications of Division 3 Part III of the ASIO Act 1979.

The Committee invites interested persons and organisations to make submissions addressing the terms of reference. The initial closing date was 24 March 2005 - anyone now wanting to make a submission should contact the Committee Secretariat. Please refer to our brochure called preparing a submission for more information.

In order to facilitate electronic publishing of submissions, the Committee would prefer them to be emailed to pjcaad@aph.gov.au or sent on disk or CD-ROM to the Committee Secretariat in Microsoft Word^® or Portable Document Format (PDF).
