The Senate met from 9.30am until 7.15pm

The Senate will meet again on 10 November 2008. Senate committees will meet from 20 to 23 October 2008 to consider supplementary budget estimates.

The Senate adopted report no. 14 of the Selection of Bills Committee, and made the following references:

Reporting date extended

The Senate agreed to extend the reporting date for the inquiry of the Agricultural and Related Industries Select Committee into pricing and supply arrangements in the Australian and global fertiliser market to 2 December 2008.
