Private senator’s bill to be debated

On 22 November 2010 the Senate agreed to a temporary order allowing private senators’ bills to be considered on Thursdays. On 10 November 2011 the Quarantine Amendment (Disallowing Permits) Bill 2011 [homepage] is scheduled for debate.

Bills to be considered under a limitation of debate

On 3 November 2011 the Senate agreed to an order limiting debate on various bills. Votes will be held this week at the following times for the following bills:

8 November 2011

  • At noon–all remaining stages of the Clean Energy Bill 2011 and 17 related bills

9 November 2011

  • At 11.30 am–all remaining stages of the Steel Transformation Plan Bill 2011
  • At 5.30 pm–all remaining stages of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Bill 2011 and a related bill

10 November 2011

  • At 7 pm–second reading of the Tobacco Plain Packaging Bill 2011 and a related bill
