Water, Heritage and the Arts; and
- concluded its hearings.
Finance and Public Administration Legislation
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Finance and Deregulation;
Human Services; Parliament; Prime Minister and Cabinet
The committee met from 9.00am until 9.50pm.
The committee called:
- the department and agencies of the Finance and Deregulation
portfolio, including the Australian Electoral Commission; and
- the department and agencies of the Human Services portfolio,
including Centrelink, Medicare and Australian Hearing.
The committee will next meet on Friday, 29 May 2009 in Senate
Committee Room 2S1, calling the Department of Climate Change and
the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator.

Immigration and Citizenship
The committee met from 9.00am until 6.20pm.
The committee:
- called the Department of Immigration and
Citizenship; and
- concluded its hearings.
Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Legislation
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Agriculture, Fisheries
and Forestry; Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and
Local Government
The committee met from 9.00am until 10.06pm.
The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local
Government portfolio, including the Inspector of Transport
Security, Airservices Australia, the Civil Aviation Safety
Authority, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau, and the Office
of Northern Australia; and
- concluded its hearings.
