Community Affairs Committee
Portfolios allocated: Families, Housing,
Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; Health and Ageing
The committee met from 8.00am until 2.45pm , pursuant to a
resolution of the Senate of 26 August 2008.
The committee:
- called portfolios with responsibility for
Indigenous issues and considered the Northern Territory emergency
response, welfare reform, closing the gap, housing and land,
including native title, and rights and engagement; and
- concluded its hearings.

It is issued this week by the Senate Table Office as a
