The committee met from 9.01am until 11.08pm.
The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts portfolio, including the
Bureau of Meteorology, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park
Authority, the Supervising Scientist, the Sydney Harbour Federation
Trust, the Director of National Parks, the Murray-Darling Basin
Authority and the National Water Commission; and
- concluded its hearings.
Finance and Public Administration Committee
Portfolios allocated: Finance and Deregulation;
Human Services; Parliament; Prime Minister and Cabinet

The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Finance and Deregulation portfolio, including Medibank Private Ltd,
the Australian Electoral Commission and the Future Fund Management
Agency;

Human Services portfolio, including the Child Support Agency,
Centrelink and Medicare Australia; and
- concluded its hearings.
Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee

The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Immigration and Citizenship portfolio, including the Migration
Agents Registration Authority, the Migration Review Tribunal and
the Refugee Review Tribunal; and

Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Agriculture, Fisheries
and Forestry; Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and
Local Government

The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local
Government portfolio, including Infrastructure Australia, the
Australian Rail Track Corporation Ltd, Airservices Australia, the
Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the Australian Transport Safety
Bureau, the Office of Transport Security, the Bureau of
Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics, the Office of
Northern Australia and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority;
and
- concluded its hearings.
