The committee met from 9 am until 10 pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Families, Housing, Community Services and
Indigenous Affairs portfolio, including the Equal Opportunity for
Women in the Workplace Agency.
Pursuant to a
resolution of the Senate of 26 August 2008, the committee will
next meet on Friday, 23 October 2009 in the Main Committee Room to
hold a hearing on cross portfolio Indigenous matters. (program)
