The committee met from 9 am until 11 pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Health and Ageing portfolio, including the
Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Australian Sports
Anti-doping Authority, the Australian Sports Commission, Cancer
Australia, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, the National
Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, the National Health and Medical
Research Council, the Private Health Insurance Administration
Council and the Professional Services Review.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 22 October 2009 in
Senate Committee Room 2S1, calling the Families, Housing, Community
Services and Indigenous Affairs portfolio, commencing with the
department.
Economics Legislation Committee
Portfolios allocated: Innovation; Industry,
Science and Research; Resources, Energy and Tourism; Treasury

The committee met from 9 am until 11 pm.
The committee called:
- the department and agencies of the Innovation, Industry,
Science and Research portfolio, including the Australian Nuclear
Science and Technology Organisation, the Australian Research
Council, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organisation, IP Australia and the Office of the Chief
Scientist;
- the department and agencies of the Resources, Energy and
Tourism portfolio, including Geoscience Australia and Tourism
Australia; and
- the department and agencies of the Treasury portfolio,
including the Australian Securities and Investments
Commission.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 22 October 2009 in
House of Representatives Committee Room 2R1, again calling the
Treasury portfolio, commencing with the department.

The committee called the department and
agencies of the Education, Employment and Workplace Relations
portfolio, including Comcare, the Australian Industrial Registry,
Fair Work Australia, the Fair Work Ombudsman and the Australian
Building and Construction Commission.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 22 October 2009 in
Senate Committee Room 2S3, calling the Education, Employment and
Workplace Relations portfolio, commencing with the department.

Main Committee Room, calling the Foreign Affairs and Trade
portfolio, commencing with the department.
