New order of continuing effect
The Senate debated and agreed to a
motion moved by Senator Cormann establishing an order of
continuing effect about requests for information and claims of
public interest immunity [first
speaker]. The motion also requires the Procedure Committee to
review the operation of the order and report to the Senate by 20
August 2009.
Meeting during the sitting of the Senate
The Senate authorised the Treaties Joint Committee to hold a
meeting while the Senate is sitting on 14 May 2009 from 9.30am.
