The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the
Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy portfolio,
including the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the Special Broadcasting
Service; and
- called the department and agencies of the
Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts portfolio, including
Screen Australia and the Australia Council.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 21 October 2008 in
Senate Committee Room 2S3, calling the Environment, Water, Heritage
and the Arts portfolio, commencing with the department.

Minister and Cabinet; Climate Change; Finance and Deregulation;

Senate, the Department of Parliamentary Services, and the
department and agencies of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
portfolio, including the Office of the Official Secretary to the
Governor-General, the Office of the Inspector-General of
Intelligence and Security, the Australian National Audit Office,
the Office of the Commonwealth Ombudsman, and the Department of
Climate Change.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday 21 October 2008 in
Senate Committee Room 2S1, calling:
- the department and agencies of the Finance and Deregulation
portfolio, commencing with the Australian Electoral Commission;
and
- the department and agencies of the Human Services portfolio,
commencing with the department.

The committee called the department and
agencies of the Attorney-General’s portfolio, including the
National Native Title Tribunal, the Administrative Appeals
Tribunal, the Australian Law Reform Commission, the Classification
Board, the Classification Review Board, the Family Court of
Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Magistrates
Court, the Australian Human Rights Commission, the Australian
Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity and the Australian Federal
Police.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 21 October 2008 in the
Main Committee Room, calling the Immigration and Citizenship
portfolio, commencing with the Migration Agents Registration
Authority.
Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Agriculture, Fisheries
and Forestry; Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and
Local Government

agencies of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry portfolio,
including Australian Wool Innovation, Australian Quarantine and
Inspection Service, Biosecurity Australia, Australian Pesticides
and Veterinary Medicines Authority, Wheat Exports Australia, Grans
Research and Development Corporation, Meat and Livestock Australia,
Australian Fisheries Management Authority, Land and Water
Australia, Bureau of Rural Sciences and the Australian Bureau of
Agricultural and Resource Economics.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 21 October 2008 in
House of Representatives Committee Room 2R1, calling the
Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local
Government portfolio, commencing with the department.
