Portfolios allocated: Families, Housing,
Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; Health and Ageing

information about the committee's hearings
The committee met from 9.00am until 11.00pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Health and Ageing portfolio, including: Cancer
Australia, the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety
Agency, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Agency, the
Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Professional
Services Review Agency, General Practice Education and Training
Ltd, the Private Health Insurance Administration Council, the
Private Health Insurance Ombudsman, the Australian Sports
Anti-Doping Authority, and the Australian Sports Commission.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 21 February 2008, in
Committee Room 2S1 calling the Families, Housing, Community
Services and Indigenous Affairs portfolio, commencing with the
department.
Economics Committee
Portfolios allocated: Innovation, Industry,
Science and Research; Resources, Energy and Tourism; Treasury

The committee met from 9.02am until 11.17pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Treasury portfolio, including: the Australian
Office of Financial Management, the Australian Securities and
Investments Commission, the Australian Taxation Office, the
Inspector-General of Taxation and the Takeovers Panel.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 21 February 2008 at
8.45am, in Committee Room 2R1 recalling the Australian Securities
and Investments Commission, followed by the department and agencies
of the Innovation, Industry, Science and Research portfolio, the
Resources, Energy and Tourism portfolio and other Treasury
portfolio agencies.
