The committee met from 9.04am until 11.01pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy
portfolio, including: Australia Post, the Australian Broadcasting
Corporation, the Special Broadcasting Service and the Australian
Communications and Media Authority.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 19 February 2007 in
Senate Committee Room 2S3, calling the Environment, Water, Heritage
and the Arts portfolio, commencing with the department.
Finance and Public Administration Committee

Administration; Human Services; Parliament; Prime Minister and
Cabinet

The committee called the Department of the
Senate, the Department of Parliamentary Services, and the
department and agencies of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
portfolio, including the Office of the Official Secretary to the
Governor-General.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday 22 May 2007 in Senate
Committee Room 2S1, again calling the Prime Minister and Cabinet
portfolio, commencing with the Australian Public Service
Commission.
Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee

The committee called the department and
agencies of the Attorney-General's portfolio, including: the
Australian Federal Police, the Australian Security Intelligence
Organisation, the Australian Customs Service, the Australian Crime
Commission, AUSTRAC, the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement
Integrity, the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, the
Australian Government Solicitor, the Federal Magistrates Court, the
Family Court of Australia and the National Capital Authority.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 19 February 2008 in the
Main Committee Room, calling the Immigration and Citizenship
portfolio, commencing with the Migration Agents Registration
Authority.
Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Transport and Regional
Services; Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

The committee called the department and
agencies of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry portfolio,
including: the Grains Research and Development Corporation, the
Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service, Biosecurity
Australia, the Export Wheat Commission, the Australian Bureau of
Agriculture and Resource Economics and the Bureau of Rural
Sciences.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 19 February 2008 in
House of Representatives Committee Room 2R1, calling the Transport
and Regional Services portfolio, commencing with the
department.
