Community Affairs Committee
Portfolios allocated: Families, Housing,
Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; Health and Ageing
The committee met from 9.00am until 10.55pm.
The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the Health and Ageing
portfolio, including the General Practice Education and Training
Ltd Agency, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority Agency, the
Australian Sports Commission Agency and the National Health and
Medical Research Council Agency; and
- concluded its hearings.
Economics Committee
Portfolios allocated: Innovation, Industry,
Science and Research; Resources, Energy and Tourism; Treasury
The committee met from 9.00am until 10.25pm.
The committee:
- called agencies of the Treasury portfolio, including the
Australian Competition and Consume Commission, the National
Competition Council, the Australian Accounting Standards Board, the
Takeovers Panel, the Commonwealth Grants Commission, the
Productivity Commission and the Australian Securities and
Investments Commission; and
- concluded its hearings.
Education, Employment and Workplace Relations
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Education, Employment and
Workplace Relations
The committee met from 9.01am until 3.21pm.
The committee:
- called the department and agencies of the Education, Employment
and Workplace Relations portfolio, including Skills Australia and
the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
Ltd; and
- concluded its hearings.
Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade
Committee
Portfolios allocated: Foreign Affairs and
Trade; Defence (including Veterans' Affairs)
The committee met from 10.00am until 12.35pm.
The committee:
- called the Defence portfolio, including the Department of
Veterans' Affairs and the Australian War Memorial; and
- concluded its hearings.
