Services and Indigenous Affairs; Health and Ageing

information about the committee's hearings
The committee met from 9.05am until 11.00pm.
The committee called the department and
agencies of the Health and Ageing portfolio, including the
Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 31 May 2007 in
Committee Room 2S1, again calling the Health and Ageing portfolio,
commencing with the department.
Economics Committee
Portfolios allocated: Industry, Tourism and
Resources; Treasury

The committee met from 9.05am until 9.40pm.
The committee:
- again called the department and agencies of
the Treasury portfolio, including: the Australian Competition and
Consumer Commission and the Australian Securities and Investments
Commission; and
- did not require the Australian Bureau of
Statistics, the National Competition Council, the Productivity
Commission or the Takeovers Panel.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 31 May 2007 in
Committee Room 2R1, again calling the Treasury portfolio,
commencing with the department.
Employment, Workplace Relations and Education Committee
Portfolios allocated: Employment and Workplace
Relations; Education, Science and Training

The committee met from 9.02am until 9.14pm.
The committee called the department and agencies of the
Education, Science and Training portfolio, including: the
Australian Research Council; the Australian Nuclear Science and
Technology Organisation; the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander Studies; the Australian Institute of Marine
Science; and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research
Organisation.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 31 May 2007 in
Committee Room 2S3, again calling the Education, Science and
Training portfolio, commencing with the department.
Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee
Portfolios allocated: Foreign Affairs and
Trade; Defence (including Veterans' Affairs)

The committee called the Department of
Defence.
The committee will next meet on Thursday, 31 May 2007 in the
Main Committee Room, again calling the Defence portfolio,
commencing with the department.
