The committee met from 9.00am until 10.54pm.
The committee called:
- the department and agencies of the Communications, Information
Technology and the Arts portfolio; and
- the department and agencies of the Environment and Water
Resources portfolio, including: the Australian Government Antarctic
Division, the Bureau of Meteorology, the Great Barrier Reef Marine
Park Authority and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 22 May 2007 in Senate
Committee Room 2S3, again calling the Environment and Water
Resources portfolio, commencing with the Director of National Parks
and the Parks Australia Division.

Administration; Human Services; Parliament; Prime Minister and
Cabinet

The committee called the Department of the
Senate, the Department of Parliamentary Services, and the
department and agencies of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
portfolio, including the Office of the Official Secretary to the
Governor-General.

Committee Room 2S1, again calling the Prime Minister and Cabinet
portfolio, commencing with the Australian Public Service
Commission.

portfolio, commencing with the Refugee Review Tribunal and the
Migration Review Tribunal.
Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport

The committee called the department and
agencies of the Transport and Regional Services portfolio,
including: AusLink, Maritime and Land Transport, the Australian
Transport Safety Bureau, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority
and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.
The committee will next meet on Tuesday, 22 May 2007 in House of
Representatives Committee Room 2R1, again calling the Transport and
Regional Services portfolio, and continuing with the Civil Aviation
Safety Authority.
